Setting Up "Share My Data" (ConEd)
ConEd "Share My Data" is a service that allows customers to securely share their energy usage data with authorized third parties, such as energy service providers, technology companies, or energy efficiency programs. Through Share My Data, customers can grant access to their electricity consumption information, meter data, and other relevant details.
This step is essential for our software platform as it allows us to monitor meter data for comparisons and performance.
Here are the steps to set this up:
Log into the David Energy platform. You will need to keep this open as a separate window during your session.
In a new tab, log into your ConEd account
Open this link to access the "Start Sharing Your Energy Data" page
You should see "David Energy" as the third-party application
If you do, continue to Step #4
If you do not:
Open this link to access the "Share My Data" connections page
Click "My Available Connections"
Click "David Energy" from the options listed below
In the left drop-down box, select the account to share data for
You can open the drop-down and ctrl-f to search more easily
For "how long would you like to share your data", select Share it until I revoke it
Check the box to agree to release data to authorized third-party
Click "Submit"

Next, you'll be redirected to our final step—please be sure to keep a tab open and logged into your David Energy platform!
Your redirect page will look like the sample below
Select the account number you previously authorized from the drop-down
Check all "Desired Scope" boxed
Click "Authorize"
If successful, a new page will appear that says "Authorization was a success."
Once completed for all applicable accounts, let our team know. We will complete the additional steps on our side to connect your meter data to the platform.
